An all-star cast gives voice to the galactic-sized animated sci-fi adventure comedy Planet 51, blasting off on DVD and Blu-ray/DVD Combo Pack on March 9, from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment. An out-of-this-world adventure for both children and adults, the CG animated film features the voice talents of Dwayne Johnson (Race to Witch Mountain), Jessica Biel (TV’s “Seventh Heaven”), Justin Long (Alvin & the Chipmunks 2), Gary Oldman (The Dark Knight), Seann William Scott (American Pie franchise) and John Cleese (Monty Python).

The tables are turned when an astronaut arrives on a distant planet, but he’s not alone; he’s surrounded by aliens who desperately fear invasion by…aliens. Planet 51 transports the entire family into a whole new world where green aliens are at home and humans are on the run.

Synopsis: When Chuck the astronaut (Dwayne Johnson) lands on a distant planet filled with little green people, he is surprised to discover that we are not alone in the galaxy. But he gets the shock of his life when the residents of Planet 51 mistakenly believe that his presence is the start of an alien invasion of the human kind! Luckily, an alien teenager named Lem (Justin Long) quickly realizes that Chuck is friendly and the two blast off on an adventure to try and return Chuck safely to his space ship!

Directed by Jorge Blanco and co-directed by Javier Abad and Marcos Martínez, Planet 51 was written by Academy Award nominee Joe Stillman (Best Adapted Screenplay, Shrek, 2001) and produced by Guy Collins and Ignacio Pérez Dolset.
