Set in the brutal arenas of ancient Rome, Tournament of Legends is a weapon and magic based 3D-fight game featuring fighters based on a legend from world mythology: the Minotaur, a powerful Gladiator, Gorgon, Stone Golem, Valkyrie and other well-known and powerful characters. Tournament of Legends features epic battles in fantastic fighting arenas where players wield mythical blade weapons, launch 40 magic attacks, and dodge giant mythological creatures that protect the battle lairs. In intense one and two-player fights, players master a range of character and weapon based magic attacks; including unleashing, amongst others, a man-eating lion, Jupiter’s Storm, Thor’s Fury and a nest of venomous snakes.

Red Dead Redemption Shoots From the Hip this May

Red Dead Redemption is a Western epic third-person action-adventure game set at the turn of the 20th century when the lawless and chaotic badlands began to give way to the expanding reach of government and the spread of the Industrial Age. The story of former outlaw, John Marston, Red Dead Redemption takes players on a great adventure across the American frontier.

Gameplay area types include frontier towns, rolling prairies teaming with wildlife, and perilous mountain passes – each packed with an endless flow of varied distractions. Along the way, players will experience the heat of gunfights and battles, meet a host of unique characters, struggle against the elements and animals of one of the world’s last remaining wildernesses, and ultimately pick their own precarious path through an epic story about the death of the Wild West and the gunslingers that inhabited it. In their travels throughout the territories of the gameworld players partake in a morality system built on honor and fame, where they gain or lose points in each area based on their actions. The game features an easy to use cover system, a variety of mounts and period specific weapons including a cattleman revolver, a mauser pistol, a repeater rifle, a sawed-off shotgun, a throwing knife, a lasso and more. Western themed mini-games are also available, including showdowns, gambling, hunting bounties, cattle herding and five finger fillet.

The Book of Eli Coming to DVD and Blu-ray June 15

The Book of Eli, directed by the Hughes brothers, is due to release on DVD and Blu-ray June 15.

Eli (Denzel Washington) travels on foot towards the west coast of the United States, 30 years after an apocalyptic event. On the way he encounters a tiny, ramshackle town run by a man named Carnegie (Gary Oldman). Carnegie hopes to build many more towns, but his hopes rely on the acquisition of a book apparently destroyed in the apocalypse, The Bible. It turns out Eli has the last remaining copy of The Bible in his possession and Carnegie fights to keep both Eli and the book in his town.

Extras and box art have yet to be released.

Edge of Darkness Coming to DVD and Blu-ray May 11

The film adaptation of The BBC’s TV series of the same name, Edge of Darkness, is due to release on DVD and Blu-ray May 11.

Thomas Craven (Mel Gibson) is an ex-homicide detective whose activist daughter is murdered in his own home. The movie follows him on his search to uncover her murderer as he discovers multiple political conspiracies and cover-ups in the process.

Legion Coming to DVD and Blu-ray May 11

Screen Gems’ apocalyptic fantasy, Legion, is due to release on DVD and Blu-ray May 11.

When God loses faith in humanity, he decides to send down his angels to kill everyone on Earth. One angel, Michael, is against God’s blind slaughter of humankind and goes to Earth and renounces his immortality and loyalty to Heaven by cutting off his wings and fights for the life of a sacred unborn child who can presumably save humanity. The patrons of a tiny diner in the middle of the Mojave Desert join Michael in fending off hordes of God’s angels and the numerous plagues. And just when you think it’s all over, God sends his strongest angel to take care of where others failed: Gabriel. Will they survive God’s wrath or will Michael’s efforts all be in vain?

The DVD and Blu-ray bonus features will include a behind-the-scenes look at the physical effects: “Creating the Apocalypse;” the cast and characters: “Humanity’s Last Line of Defense;” the visual effects: “From Pixels to Picture;” and on Blu-ray only, a picture-to-picture featured titled “Bringing Angels to Earth.”

Just Cause 2 Demo Date Announced

Available for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC from March 4th, 2010, the Just Cause 2 demo will feature a massive 35 square miles of the Lautan Lama Desert, a vast expanse of stunning, sun-scorched scenery taking up just one of the many islands in the 400 square miles of the Panau archipelago. Packed with towns, villages, military installations, mountain ranges, missions and more, the demo will feature an astonishing amount of activities for the player… and opportunities for adrenaline-fuelled chaos are limitless.

Hunt down and assassinate one of the game’s 50 military colonels; devastate military bases, bio fuel chambers, government infrastructure and more; hijack tuk tuks, military 4×4s, armored vehicles, mopeds, helicopter gunships, light aircraft, mini vans and numerous other military and civilian vehicles; freefall from desert outcrops or from burning planes at 20,000 feet; and unlock one full, multi-stage mission, traversing the mountains to a heavily fortified government radar station and ending in an unforgettable desert car chase.

The Just Cause 2 demo will be available March 4th, 2010, on PlayStationNetwork, Xbox LIVE Marketplace and Steam. All formats will release in-stores on March 23rd, 2010 in North America.
