Andre Agassi Back in the Game with Top Spin 4

2K Sports announced today that Top Spin 4, the latest iteration of the Top Spin tennis simulation video game franchise, is scheduled to release in 2011 for the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, PlayStation3 computer entertainment system and Wii system from Nintendo. Gamers that pre-order Top Spin 4 in North America from GameStop will receive an exclusive vintage Andre Agassi playable character while supplies last.

Disney Epic Mickey Limited Collector’s Edition and a look behind the scenes

The upcoming video game Disney Epic Mickey will also be released as a Collectors’ Edition in limited quantities. Available for pre-order beginning today in North America and alongside the standard edition at retail this holiday, the Collectors’ Edition of Disney Epic Mickey will include the full version of the game, a five inch collectible Disney Epic Mickey figurine, WiiTM console skins and remote faceplate, and a bonus DVD with behind-the-scenes video and more. With its innovative style of gameplay using paint and thinner to dynamically change the game world, Disney Epic Mickey is one of the most anticipated titles of 2010.

Screens for Tournament of Legends

Set in the brutal arenas of ancient Rome, Tournament of Legends is a weapon and magic based 3D-fight game featuring fighters based on a legend from world mythology: the Minotaur, a powerful Gladiator, Gorgon, Stone Golem, Valkyrie and other well-known and powerful characters. Tournament of Legends features epic battles in fantastic fighting arenas where players wield mythical blade weapons, launch 40 magic attacks, and dodge giant mythological creatures that protect the battle lairs. In intense one and two-player fights, players master a range of character and weapon based magic attacks; including unleashing, amongst others, a man-eating lion, Jupiter’s Storm, Thor’s Fury and a nest of venomous snakes.

2K Games announces Sid Meier’s Pirates for Wii

2K Games announced that Sid Meier’s Pirates!, the classic swashbuckling high seas adventure, will set sail this fall for Wii. Originally developed by Firaxis Games, the Wii version is being developed by 2K China and allows would-be buccaneers to serve as captain as they raid and plunder the 17th century Caribbean, successfully navigate pirate ship battles, triumphantly dispatch opponents in clanging sword fights and woo fair maidens with the streamlined controls of the Wii Remote in a quest to save their family from the evil Marquis de la Montalban.

Sid Meier’s Pirates! is an adventure-driven entertainment experience where swashbucklers can helm one of 27 fully customizable ships as they descend upon unsuspecting ports of call to assemble a motley crew of seafaring bandits. Captains will collect secret treasure maps, undertake daring missions, play havoc with local townspeople and swiftly hand out pirate-style justice to local braggarts before setting sail for breathtaking open sea engagements unlike any other game before on the Wii.

Overflowing with intense pirate action, Sid Meier’s Pirates! has a treasure chest of gameplay riches, including the traditional mini-games from the classic original such as Sword Fighting, Ship Combat and Dancing, as well as two Wii-exclusive mini-games – Bombardment and Lock Picking. In addition, the Wii version will offer exclusive character and ship customization options.

Sid Meier’s Pirates! is rated E10+ (Everyone 10 and older) by the ESRB.

Tournament of Legends on Wii

This video is the first in a series to feature the Legends of the new fight game. The first chapter introduces the Gladiator, Marcus Antonius, Hero of Rome and the Minotaur, BraveHoof, The Defender of Nature. Available this July

Disney Interactive Studios announces Disney Sing It: Family Hits

Nothing brings together families like the magic and music of Disney’s films, and today Disney Interactive Studios announced a new interactive way for families to come together and enjoy their favorite songs from their favorites films. Disney Sing It: Family Hits is a karaoke game featuring the most beloved songs and videos from 20 all-time favorite Disney films, alongside vocal tips from the Princess and the Frog’s Anika Noni Rose. Disney Sing It: Family Hits will be available for the PlayStation3 system and the Wii console in summer 2010.

Tapping into both the past and the present, Disney Sing It: Family Hits features favorite songs from all-time classic Disney films, including Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Mary Poppins and The Jungle Book, as well as contemporary favorites from films like Disney•Pixar’s Toy Story and Cars, The Lion King, Aladdin, The Little Mermaid, The Princess and The Frog, and more. Further immersing players in the moment, the easy to follow karaoke gameplay is accompanied by full screen HD videos featuring montages, as well as original footage from each of the Disney movies.

In Disney Sing It: Family Hits, players will use the pitch bar to assist in hitting the right notes and can sing solo, partner up for a duet, compete head-to head, or pass the microphone around to up to 8 players in the Family Mode. To relive key moments, the Sing It Encore Mode enables players to play back their performances and add fun effects to customize their tunes.

To assist players in improving their performances and unlocking awards and Disney themes, the Tony award winning singer/actress Anika Noni Rose, who also voiced Princess Tiana in The Princess and the Frog, provides vocal exercises and techniques. Anika takes players through a series of basic voice instructions, game tutorials and singing games that are designed to help all players become better singers and performers. Lessons include proper microphone technique, how to hit high and low, long and short, and fast and slow notes, among other tips, providing a valuable learning tool for players of all ages.

Disney Sing It: Family Hits from Disney Interactive Studios is Rated E for everyone by the Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB).
