Patrick Bach, the executive producer of Battlefield: Bad Company 2 was recently quoted:
“In the background we’re doing a lot of things that I can’t talk about that are aiming towards creating the next big Battlefield product.”
There hasn’t been a new Battlefield title released since Battlefield: 2142 back in 2006. According to EA COO John Pleasants, there will be a third incarnation of the title:
“I’ve had the luxury of looking at Battlefield 3 over at DICE over in Sweden. I was highly impressed by the way the people were working on that product. That’s not for this fiscal year ending March 31, 2010, but that is a product that is looking very good.”
